The small are humble
A biblical encounter with humility.
Let’s talk a little about humility. Sometime ago during my morning reading I stumbled upon humility. I began to research through my concordance… And I noticed that there was a great correlation with humility and other fruits of the spirit.
Let’s take a quick look at a few scriptures;
The fear of the Lord is the instruction of wisdom; and before honour is humility. (Proverbs 15:33 KJV)
Why is humility so important? The Lord tells us that if you desire honor you must first give humility. Let’s look back on a scripture from the sons of thunder:
When the other ten heard of this conversation, they lost their tempers with James and John. Jesus got them together to settle things down. “You’ve observed how godless rulers throw their weight around,” he said, “and when people get a little power how quickly it goes to their heads. It’s not going to be that way with you. Whoever wants to be great must become a servant. Whoever wants to be first among you must be your slave. That is what the Son of Man has done: He came to serve, not to be served—and then to give away his life in exchange for many who are held hostage.” (Mark 10:41-45 MSG)
If humility brings honor, what more can be be given merely by humble beginnings.
Who [with reason] despises the day of small things? For these seven shall rejoice when they see the plummet in the hand of Zerubbabel. [These seven] are the eyes of the Lord which run to and fro throughout the whole earth. [Rev. 5:6.] (Zechariah4:10 AMP).
It seems that our Father is pleased with small or humble beginnings. I believe it is the reason that it build character and makes the actual success sustainable. With the hero journey it makes the treasures more values, thus we desire to preserve it for our families to come.
The formula to success.
True humility and fear of the LORD lead to riches, honor, and long life. (Proverbs 22:4 NLT)
True Humility = Honor (Greatness)
Honor The Lord = wealth/riches.
In a few more articles we will dig deeper, for now let’s touch the surface.
This scripture combines both values into a formula that “blesses” or in-powers us to win.
True Humility + Honor The Lord = Honor and wealth.
I can’t wait to dig deeper and show you what all this means in depth. But for now meditate on that formula.
