All things that are essential are of great importance. Think about the importance of a transmission in any vehicle. It’s not a glorified part, and nor can you see it from the exterior as a wonderful accessory. Nevertheless the transmission is vital from getting you from one place to the next and also making all “transmissions” smooth.

For most I believe that seems very self explanatory. However, your life consist of things that are important and yet we over look them. This blog is not about making anyone feel as though religion is being pushed down their throat. I’d actually like to treat the essentials of faith, belief in a higher power and additional religious attributes as a given prerequisite.

The additional essentials that most overlook are the following; Planning, execution & instincts. Although these three things appear to be apart of the four step process for a PM (Project Management) certification, I want you to know that they far more important than that.

Instinct is the one I’d like to expound upon, instinct is that little tug, that inner voice, that desire that tells you…”this is for me”….”this is the opportunity I’ve been waiting for”….”this is important”. With technology, some of us live in two spectrums; the first is everything being of grave importance. Think about it this way, when you’re doing something of importance and it requires your concentration, do you find yourself periodically pausing to check your phone with every little ding? If so, don’t be embarrassed this happens to most. The constant activity to technology has many to believe that everything is of urgent response, when the truth is that only a few things are truly important. The we on is that a person believes that with the ease and accessibility of the information stage that nothing is hard to grasp and therefore there is no desire for urgency. This is far more dangerous than the first. If you’re a person with great instincts, then you know what is of importance and what isn’t.

Why drop what you can juggle

-TD Jakes

Opportunities will come day by day and even moment by moment depending what industry your in and who or what you associate with.
While listening to TD Jakes yesterday he spoke about having your heart in the right capacity so that once the whisper of the moment passes through your heart and into your mind telling you that “this is the moment”… That you prepare your heart and renew it to ensure that now is the season and that now is the opportunity. It does you no good to see an opportunity but never take it. Because essentially the issue of perusing the opportunities isn’t the challenges that one faces, it’s an issue of the heart. Do you have enough heart to go after what is given to you? The truth is that what is already in your hand to accomplish your goals is more than enough that is needed. Use your instinct and obtain what is yours!

Here’s a scripture that can be declared everyday to prepare your heart.

Purify me with hyssop, and I will be clean. Wash me, and I will be whiter than snow. Create in me a clean heart, O God. Renew a right spirit within me. Don’t throw me from your presence, and don’t take your holy Spirit from me. Restore to me the joy of your salvation. Uphold me with a willing spirit. (Psalm 51:7, 10-12)
